Munda Wanga is a Trust, it therefore relies on support from
donor organisations, companies and individuals to keep improving
the park. Below you will find a
short outline of what ways there are to get involved with the
work of the Munda Wanga Trust in Zambia. To find out more,
please follow the link to the specific page if this still
doesn't provide you with sufficient information, please do not
hesitate to contact us by email, mail or phone.
The Trust
To
keep the the operation running the Trust relies greatly on
donations, sponsorships and funds. The main philosophy to the
Trust's work is that if we educate the children of today we will
be able to change the way Zambia's future decision makers think.
This can only be achieved if we keep the entry fees to the park in
reach of the average Zambian, who will learn about the environment, how to appreciate it and why it
needs to be protected and conserved.

Animal Adoption
Programme
The Munda Wanga
Wildlife Park and Sanctuary has a large number of animals, they
are at Munda Wanga for different reasons, the one will be here
for rehabilitation, the other will be here because he was found
on the side of the road for sale. Other animals are here as an
Ambassador for their species. Like the Zebra and the Impala, but
also some of the birds that were so badly wounded that they will
never fly again. Those animals that are not fit for release are
kept and fed in the sanctuary.
As you can
imagine, feeding all these animals costs the sanctuary an arm
and a leg every year. Not to mention the continuous maintenance
and repairs that need to be done to enclosures. The enrichment
that we put in the enclosures to mimic the natural behaviour of
the animals. The vet bills to keep the animals healthy. The list
just doesn't stop.
If you feel
attracted to an animal or you want to "give" an animal as a gift
to a friend or a loved one. you help the sanctuary by supporting
in the up keep of this animals living costs. All the information
is laid out for you in our Animal Adoption Brochure, which you
can download
here.
