Munda
Wanga is the only hands on environmental educational resource in
Zambia. It is first choice for teachers,
and community leaders, helping to spearhead awareness of
environmental conservation and management on a local, national
and international scale, for all ages.
The
Munda Wanga Trust has the vision to become a world class environmental
education and interpretation programme, partly housed in what
was once lion cages, to small for wild animals but the bars and
concrete floors will act as permanent reminders to the next
generation of how the previous generation got it wrong.

We
are working closely with environmental organizations, schools
and other interested groups in Zambia, including Wildlife and
Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia (WECSZ),
Environmental Council of Zambia (ECZ), the National Curriculum
Development Centre and Lusaka National Museum, to create a
holistic environmental education and interpretation programme
for Zambia.
More information on our programmes:
Our education programme gives school groups the possibility to
choose their own topics from the list of Environment and
Wildlife topics.
Our qualified staff will be able to provide talks and activities
to suit the group’s specific needs. Please make sure you mention
your specific request with your booking, as our team needs a bit
of notice to prepare for these activities.
The education programme runs on weekdays only from 08:00 hrs –
17:00 hrs.

plants and animals in a one-day tour guide training course. A
certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course.
Trained teachers will be allowed to guide their own school once
they are qualified.
This course
is available at ZMK 100,000 per person per day, includes lecture
materials and lunch. For enquiries please visit the education
centre.
PRE-SCHOOL - CHILDREN MINI-TOURS
Munda Wanga is a large park, we therefore provide special tours
for the under five classes on Monday to Wednesday. This allows
the education team to give ample time and attention to these
booked schools.
PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY
If you
have a disability or difficulty with getting around easily,
Munda Wanga can provide special access to the park upon request.
Please speak to the receptionist who will be able to direct you
